Amy Qualliotine is the strategic communications director at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation where she partners closely with grantmaking teams, leveraging communications tools to drive progress against program goals.

Amy joined the Foundation in 2023 from Edelman, a global communications agency, where she led the company’s Bay Area Health Team. In this role, Amy counseled clients across the healthcare sector, building cross-functional, multi-channel campaigns to tell compelling stories that raised awareness and drove behavior change to a variety of target audiences. Additionally, she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, including career coaching, financial management and business development.

Prior to joining Edelman, Amy was a consultant with Deloitte where she delivered high-impact communications strategies to large federal government agencies. She got her start in communications at the National Women’s Law Center where she managed public education/advocacy campaigns and grassroots activist mobilization on a portfolio of employment, education, economic security, and health issues.

Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and upon graduation taught fourth grade in rural Louisiana as a Teach For America corps member.
