Thania Barragan is a program associate at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, working to support grantmaking to help ensure California’s communities are strong, resilient places. Prior to joining the Packard Foundation, she worked for College Futures Foundation to close education equity gaps and further college completion for marginalized students. Thania holds a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from University of California, Davis, where she spent a summer abroad in Ecuador to examine the impact that socioeconomic and political factors have on indigenous communities in relation to environmental justice and human rights.
