Andrew is a communications officer at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. He brings to this role more than a decade of strategic communications and storytelling experience, with a particular focus on health and its intersections with other social issues.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2022, Andrew worked at Blue Shield of California Foundation, most recently serving as interim director of communications and public affairs. His work at BSCF covered a broad range of health-related issues, including immigration and economic security, but his primary focus was advocating for new solutions to break the multi-generational cycle of domestic and family violence.
Earlier in his career, Andrew worked in communications roles at the Center for Health Care Strategies, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving outcomes for Americans served by Medicaid, and at the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey, a statewide nonprofit working to provide support for those impacted by brain injury while promoting brain injury prevention.
Andrew holds a B.A. in history from the College of New Jersey.
A native of New Jersey, Andrew spends much of his free time enjoying the outdoors in and around San Francisco. He can be easily distracted by almost any conversation about music, books, baseball, or motorcycling.
