Theresa Gonzalez (they/them) is a program assistant for the Grants Data and Operations team. They provide grantmaking and operational support for goal and initiative teams.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2013, Theresa was with VMware in Palo Alto for eight years, beginning as a receptionist, and ending as a workplace coordinator.

Theresa is very involved in volunteering. Currently they volunteer at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA (PHS-SPCA)’s wildlife center in San Jose caring for sick, injured, and often orphaned, mammals and birds. PHS-SPCA, also located in Burlingame and San Mateo, is a local, private, non-profit charitable organization dedicated to animal welfare. They are a truly open admission shelter, not only accepting many pet animals who might be refused at other shelters, but also taking care of injured and orphaned native wildlife. Their work means almost 5,000 lives saved each year.

Theresa also enjoys going to the movies, assembling jigsaw puzzles, spending time with friends, and attending live concert and musical performances. They are also a pet parent to their 16 year old dachshund/silky terrier mix, Zeus.
