The Global Alliance for the Future of Food (the Global Alliance)—a collaboration of foundations working to leverage resources, develop paths to change, and push the agenda for more sustainable food and agriculture systems—commissioned a study from the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems. The final report explores the many ways food systems affect human health, evidence gaps, why negative impacts persist, and pathways for building healthier food systems. For example, it advocates for more interdisciplinary research and policy that addresses the connections between food, health, poverty, and climate change.
